Anyone try a set of these H4 HID conversions?

Wow, prices fall.

Found these at Harbor Freight for $150.

HF HID kit

And these on Ebay...

Even cheaper Ebay HIDs

I want to buy me-self an Xmas present. More rock bling. Brighter lights, and less amp/watt draw (important when using a winch).

Anyone install them? Any thoughts? Am I treading into uncharted waters?

They are going on Samantha.

I'm going to s tube clip, and will be running 7" diamond cut lights in dune buggy style housings. I figured she'd like wearing these bulbs as well.

That's what I was gonna ask Tim. What kind of housing do these need?

In my old zuk I bought a set of diamond lights on e-bay with the little blue light in the bottom. They were way brighter than factory but in my next one I would love to run some HIDs. What's required?

I've got the same light housings. I swapped in yellow LEDs and ran them to the marker lights. They were a LOT brighter.

These H4 HID fit those housings. For under $100, one could swap out the old sealed beams for 2 new fancy housings (they sell projector types now) and REAL HID bulbs and ballasts.

Not too shabby.

No, not bad at all. This is the way I'll be going. Thanx for the heads up.

See, two posts already in the last couple of days that have helped me out on a build I haven't even started yet. Way to go ORC!......................now if I could just find a zuk to buy.......................
