Question I need to find a part name

Hello, I bought a 97 Geo Tracker 2 weeks ago. My dilemma is the bar in the back window on the soft top..it's bent, so I need a new one and here is the really crap part...I need the bracket like pieces that the window bar clips to.

The older man I bought this from had just passed away and his wife had no clue what the part was or even called.

Can I even buy this part or will I be trolling junk yards in search of it? I've looked everywhere, but then not knowing the name doesn't help.

The man had put some pieces of wood back there to try to keep the top pulled taught, but rain dribbles in. ANY help would be great!

Thanks in adavnce

first let me say welcome to the forum.

but i think that your best bet is junk yard trolling. im sure it would be cheaper than your alternative.

good luck

Other than the salvage yards and pick-n-pulls, the best place to go for that part would be Hawk's Strictly Suzuki at 1-888-SAMURAI. They have a whole wrecking yard full of everything Suzuki and Geo Tracker. Be sure to specify the model year as the tops for '96 and later are different than the earlier tops.

Hope that this helps!
