Jumping speedometer cable update
I wanted to make this a seperate thread in hopes that everyone would read it and not put this under the older thread and some people miss it. I ordered a new cable and that wasn't the problem. Turns out the plastic gears were wearing out due to some metal shavings . That explains the jumping and extreme variation in the speedometer readings. So before buyiing a cable just take the one bolt out, where the cable attaches, and pull the thing the cable attaches to out and look at the gears. It appears it will be too much trouble to fix the gears especially the one in the t-case. I don't know if I can get the other gear replaced that isn't in the t-case but am sure it would help some with the jumping of the speedo if I could. My new speedometer will be the tach for now on.
