90 GEO engine swap?

I have bought a 95 GEO motor to put in my 90 model, the engine is the same but with the distributer plugs different! the 90 model plug has 2 wires an the 95 has 3! Can the newer dist. be used or do I need to swap to the old? Any helpful info would be thank-ful!!! Larry

Distribotor

Yes, by all means use your original distributor. Too bad you did not find as 1.6. Easy swap as you allready have the FI. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

your putting a 95 tracker motor into a 90 tracker? or into a 90 samurai?

if its into a 90 tracker...look at the dizzys and make sure the 90 model doesnt have a vaccum advance pod on it....

the 95 should be electronic advance...the 90 may be vac advance\

you SHOULD be able to just swap the dizzys but i cant tell you for sure....it will deffinitly bolt up to the engine..

i believe the 02 sensor will be different also
