Transfer case locked

Zuki in the middle of the drive, and will not move. Guess I could push it but I'm tired.. Was checking out the 4x4 mode cause of some lite snow/ice and T-case stick stuck!! Looks to be stuck in neutral. Now I know I've seen something on this very thing.. Simple fix??
You guys have been great help in the past, I know someone can tell me exactly what I need to know... Please?

Re: Transfer case locked

Most of the time it's the Shifter Sheet. The name doesn't sound like a part, does it? It's just a polyurethane bushing that the lever rides on. When it breaks because of age, the lever becomes misaligned and stuck. Any of the online Suzuki off-roading parts sites should it.

Re: Transfer case locked

Do a search for shifter sheet at Ack's FAQ (see link below) to find out how to fix this problem with a new shifter sheet. It's a bit of a PITA to do but very quick and cheap to fix.

Re: Transfer case locked

So , if I remove the shifter, line the rails up, put it back together, I can drive the thing until the part comes in??

Yup! Just don't shift it back into 4wd till you get it fixed, or you could jam it again.

Re: Transfer case locked

you can still shift it aswell just keep pressure on the outside walls as your shiftin it, I hope that make sense to ya, like when pullin it into 4 high from 2wd keep the shifter pulled tight towards your leg..ie... drivers side!
