2.0 to Toy trans is done.

Zach aka Burned Bronco stopped in with his 2.0 motor in the back of his truck along with a w-56 toy trans last Fri. We started taking measurments to see if it would work VIA the RingR and after some slight machine work it all fell together today. This uses the same configuration as the 1.6 to Toy except we use the 1.6 flywheel and 1.6 bell instead of the 2.0. I am picking up a 2.0 bell in the next week or so to try and mock that up which will give a direct bolt in of parts no machining labor + larger flywheel and clutch disk. also found a pilot bearing to work in the end of the crank shaft.
Also the total length is less then Stock zuk drivetrain.. Heres a pic from today

That looks good. What work do you think would be necessary to do to mate the 2 litre to a standard Track/Kick trans?

I have a buddy thinking about the 2.0 swap. I'll definitely let him know about that. The "shorter" part suprises me and makes a "good" swap "great"!

Re: 2.0 to Toy trans is done.

it is shorter with one T case. it will be a few inches longer when i add the doubler iin a couple of weeks once i get my wallet recovered. nothing about a 2.0 to toy, to dual cases and a reduction case is cheap! no worse than building one in a build peice by peice, but just seems like dropping all the $$ at once has left a big hole.

a few notes. you cannot run a 2.0 starter with the setup as it wont bolt to the 1.6L belhousing, but the 1.6L starter fits right in.

Way to go Zach, glad to see you made it work (with a little help from a very knowledgeable friend).

Keep us posted as this project evolves.
