Exterior hood latches

I some time ago replaced my interior hood latch with a set of "Roadless Gear" exterior latches. They are rubber and over time they have stretched so that now in a high wind or high speed my hood bounces a little up and down.

Who out there has adapted some J**P latches that mechanically latch to a Zuki Samurai? I looked in the Quadratech 4WD page and they probably have something that would work.

Any help or photos on how any of youse guys have done yours with the model number or year of the J**P application would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Exterior hood latches

napa used to cary (might still) a universial jeep style hood latch they are spring loaded. I have had them on my rig for about 2 years now without problems. although sometimes a semi coming the other way will cause the hood to lift slightly. at speeds of 80 mph it doesnt lift however. I would recomend if using this kind of setup to put some plastic or aluminum strips under the rubber bumpers at the front of the hood other wise they will eat into the sheet metal.
