OT which tube bender to get??

I am in the market for a new tube bender and want first hand opinions on which bender to get.. It is a toss up between the pro-tools 105 or JD Model 3. Any suggestions??

Re: OT which tube bender to get??

I have a friend who has a JD Model 3 and it works great. Doesn't take effort to bend, and it makes clean, safe bends. We are using it to bend the cage in my Samurai, and I wheel hard, so I guess we will see if I die or not! But from my experience, I love the Model 3, and plan on purchasing one myself.

i have been told that they are the same that the 2 owners split up

i bought a pro-tool 105 bender from www.rockbuggy.com his prices were cheaper than from pro-tools and they are drop shipping it from fl.

Re: OT which tube bender to get??

i went with pro-tools 105 through RBS also. great service, cheapest pricing around. RBS was recomended to me from rockrat last spring.

my buddy has been using the jd bender for years and it has worked great for him. can't really miss with either bender..

From everything I've read they are very comparable. The deciding factor could be which one any locals are using. That way you could always trade/borrow dies for projects.

I have a JD2 model 3 and have been very happy with it.
