theres a 30 page discussion about that on the bbs it came from. How about if the person ducked forward? None of the pictures shows anything but a piece of the back of the seat, does it? It looks like the impact of the deer was in the upper corner of the windshield so it stands to reason the person driving ducked down or to the right, exposing a lot of the seat.
Does anyone really think someone would try to fake this mess? How would you throw a deer into a car to cause that much damage?? I'd go with the driver ducking to the right.
When the speed limit went to 65 here and people started driving 75-80 you started seeing deer hits on the highway that look like this interior, a huge red splatter with car/truck parts and an empty deer along the road. Somewhere over 75 they just explode. The big trucks really do a job.
A good friend hit one doing about 80 on a classic Kawasaki triple some years back. It cut the deer in half, covered him in gore, he wrecked of course and it demolished the front half of the bike.

[/ QUOTE ] Everytime I drive I-84 to my Uncle's house in Greentown I think of that happening. And seeing all the roadkill makes me even more cautious, especially at night. And yeah, I'm doing 75 and getting passed regularly.
