I go a 86 zuki.
I would Like to know how good it would be on gas?
Here's what I plan to do.
for now I am going to keep the stock 1.3,put rro 6.5" spoa kit, toy axles, and 33x14x15 boggers.
Thanks

Also If I converted to propane then how would it be?

Re: fuel mileage

i get around 10 mpg with my swampers when i had a 1.3. didn't really change with the 1.6 carb swap. swampers really eat the gas. boggers will be worse.

Re: fuel mileage

How would you measure fuel mileage using propane? Miles/pound? Miles/tank? Miles/dollar??

You'll kill the mileage with the bigger tires and axles.

Re: fuel mileage

I get 16 mpg all around. 18 is the best I can do. I think they only got around 22 to 24 new.

Re: fuel mileage

I don't have all the stuff you plan, but I have consistantly gotten 23-25 in recent times. That is since the Weber, exhaust, and etc. I was running 235/75-15's. Now I am running 225/75-15's with about the same mileage. I must say though, at one time when this thing was fairly new, about 1988-1991, I could get in the 30's with my mpg.

Take care and good luck,

Jim

Re: fuel mileage

the best i have ever gotten out of a samurai was 23-25 mpg driving from minnesota to nebraska in an all stock 87 with 32/36 weber, header, and 2" exhaust wtih a chambered turbo muffler. engine was low on compression at about 140 accross the board and gas pedal planted to the floor the entire way.

i have no clue how some people get their "claimed" mpg in a samurai at 30+mpg....maybe being dropped off a mountain clif...

Original stock everything. Good fuel mileage, but try to pull a boat, I could not get over 60.
