Axle trusses

Are the combo trusses-skid plate any good, or they just Bling-Bling.

I have had the front type (Con-Ferr) for years and have skid off it many times. It does lower ground clearance but I don't do hard core. Zooky said he once spun one a little. Jim

mostly bling. You lose some ground clearance. Mine spun forward while backing off something and got wedged between the axle and tie rod and I couldnt steer. Use a pipe cap, they work good and are cheap

hey thats an idea I have a pumpkin left over from haloween how isactly do you install it? it would seem like it wouldnt offer much for protection.



























































[img]images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] just kidding I have an 8 inch pipe cap on mine allmost split in half I cut it about an inch off center. also removed about an inch off the heigth

You need pumpkin caps and these true axle trusses made out of 1/4 wall 1.5" X 4" square tubing cut to fit:
