I really like that blue truck!! I want that bumper, I have plans to build one like that but without the lights. and I hope to have a winch on it and the high lift on the rear bumper. thats a real fun looking trail too.

Re: pics from today

Should'a come up. You didn't work in this crap today , did you? Had a good time, yeah, it was slick as hell with the leaves and the rain. Had to take more sensible lines today and pose more but had a good time. Randy brought a grill and brought up his squirting sausage to go along with lunch.... More than ever I NEED an anti-wrap bar.

Re: pics from today

What I wonder is who picks that big rock up and totes it out ahead so you guys can go over it again? Looks like a nice day to be in the woods Yeah Daxe, no Luxo-wheeler flex pics? Looks like there's room around those rocks to go easy.

Re: pics from today

vids are ok..nothing amazing, I got hustled out of the house right after I got home so I havent had a chance to convert them yet. I will do it in a few miuntes and post a link. My head is fine because I was wearing my calmini hat.

My samurai got to stay home because it had three flat tires and a dead battery when I went out to get it rolling this morning. That wouldnt be that much of a big deal except yesterday I pumped up the same three tires and jumped the truck. Aside from the fact that I hate wet weather and have enough trouble wheeling when its dry, I didn't feel like having my truck crap out on the side of the mountain. Just wasn't worth the BS. I had more fun riding with Tom than I would have had driving, anyways. Plus I don't have a rollcage to smash my head on, either.

The luxo wheeler isn't quite up to Ma Bell. There was some nice flat ground around that freestanding boulder, but getting all the way to the flat ground would not have been pretty. That trail is a regional favorite that gets lots of traffic and its so chewed up, even in just the four years I have been going there, that I seriously doubt you could get through it without at least one locker and 29s or larger. Even the go-arounds are getting kinda wooly.

Ironically, "Samurai Hill", the optional gnarly twisty hill at the end of the trail, has gotten easier while most of the rest of the trail has gotten more difficult. I have vids of both truckcs zipping up that hill without much trouble.

Re: pics from today

Those came out good for a camera!! That was funny with John, what did he do, hit the nitrous right at the top and break loose the tires?

Re: pics from today

they look even nicer before I squashed the hell out of them. they were originally about 4 meg and 17 meg before I processed them. Not too bad looking after a 9:1 compression, eh?

I hope they get the codec issue worked out though. Its a pain to separate out the audio and then have to mix it back in as a separate file.
