Re: O/T VOTE

Kerry not only has character, he is a character. He is the opposite of George Washington---I can not pass up the chance to tell a lie.

Kerry has lots of conviction. He is convinced that he has a plan for everything. As a matter of fact, he has several. If not so sad, I'd laugh. I will anyway--haha. He is like the ol' gal that had a reason. She did not know what it was, but she would think up one later.
I loved that show.

Re: O/T VOTE

if only our vote actually mattered ... it's well known the electoral college actually votes the president into power. last election we were close to seeing the popular vote and electoral college differing. vote, go ahead, but know that it means a mere pittance in the whole scheme of things. g.w. is decent only because his cabinet is decent -- he's nothing but a figure head like the queen of england.

flame on ... flame on ... the truth of the matter is, we could elect ross perot and it really wouldn't matter -- it's the cabinet behind the president that makes the decisions; the president only announces them on TV.

Re: O/T VOTE

Thanks for the info. Now I know why he looks very shady. It's all those people with whom he hangs and should be hung with him.

How can someone like John Kerry and Edwards even be considered for any public office, let alone the presidency. It blows my imagination. If the democratic party can not come up with a better candidate than Kerry, it should kill itself. It is a disgrace to America, and I am with Zell Miller until changes are made. I do not mean Hillary (Rotten Dame) Clinton. I want someone honestly interested in "what is good for Americans." I do not give a rat's high-knee about the french, germans, isreales, africans, or any other asian or mid-east country. We either remain the most powerful country on earth or we will be some other country.

I have a simple request from both parties. Give me a candidate that represents the working man or I demand a third party that believes in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Amen?

Yep: One of my past entrepernural jobs was the owner of two college bars near (USC) University of South Carolina not the other one in that West coast foreign country. At one time during the height of the Viet Nam war I had 4 bartenders working for me with doctorate degrees. believe me, on a slow night at the end of the bar we solved all the world's ills and woes. Bar owners in a college town with a college clientel by default have all earned a degree in Physcitry and Philosophy and as I was in the bar business for almost twenty years and I got my Bar Doctorate, Now I'm working on my internet BBS Doctorate I guess with all you and CT Brent here in this blurb.

Finally something we agree on.

But, it can't be done. Because the American political structure, it is now only the rich that can afford to be president. It requires an enormous amount of money to finance a run for the presidency. People that are honest and hard working rarley have money. Rarely have political experiance and rarely have influance. So you are at the mercy of the guys with enough money to gete there.

Sorry.
