OT - Homegrown Ingenuity

It was raining and I was on my back, under the car and struggling to get a tiny screw into a tiny hole through a piece of plastic that didn't quite fit right. No matter how hard I tried I could not get the screw to stay on the screwdriver while I pushed the plastic into place. I struggled with this for about 30 minutes while the rain poured. Finally, it dawned on my that if I could just find something to "stick" the screw onto the screw driver... Well, there was nothing sticky within reach...or was there?

Who can guess what I used?

Re: OT - Homegrown Ingenuity

I used a booger. No shame here, just a big ole' black ring around my nostril. It was amazing how well it held! I had the part together on the first try.

Re: OT - Homegrown Ingenuity

Kind of a new slant on that old standby, "Gorilla Snot", eh?

We may be making fun of this but I bet you every single guy in this thread is going to remember this and use it...

Re: OT - Homegrown Ingenuity

I have often refered to screws as being "all boogered up" (meaning stripped) but I have never meant it literally!
