Stock Spring Arch

A quick and simple question: How much arch should stock leafs have? My 86's stockers are dead flat in front and rear.

Anyway, it rides like a bag of sh-t on the street, and I know that shocks are toast, but if the springs are dead too, I'll do the CJ/RUF conversion (with proper shocks) as opposed to replacing the stockers.

So - I guess what I'm asking is, how do I judge the health of the stock springs?

TIA,
--Rod.

Re: Stock Spring Arch

On every stock zuke I've seen the fronts are dead flat or even negatively arched a bit. The rears have a bit of arch but not much. the FSM doesn't have a spec on it. You won't know it's the same truck with the RUF/CJ and shocks that actually damp. Go for it.
