Herculine under the hood?

As I get deeper and deeper into my zukstoration I come up wiht ideas.

Usually my ideas suck. So I consult with you guys.

Should I herculine under the hood? I noticed that at one time there were blobs of goo that stuck the reinforcement bars to the hood skin. They've long since broken.

I'm thinking that by doing this, 1) it will stiffen the hood again, and 2) will act as a noise dampener of sorts.

Yay? Nay?

I'm thinking it also might insulate it too well and cause the motor to blow up.

Re: Herculine under the hood?

Murph, I don't see the need to Herc under the hood...??

there is stuff out there that you can use to re-stick the cross bars back to the hood. I think I used a hard silicon calking to re-stick the cross bars back on..

Herc is kind of expensive..

Re: Herculine under the hood?

just put it on thicker in areas where more wear and tear are going to be.

like where your feet are going to go....

never hurts to make it thicker...
