Whats a top worth

I might have a chance to pick up a samurai cheap from a guy down the road problem is it only has a bikini top. I only what to use the thing to hunt in so this top is no good to me. What is a good hard top worth? Also does any one know if someone make a metal one? Thanks in advance Hilgy

P.s If you live in Canada and have info on tops that would be even better but any info is great.

Re: Whats a top worth

I've seen the hard tops go for $150-$400 depending on the style and condition.

There are a few different manufacturers and two basic styles, a two piece and a one piece.

I have both of them but only installed the one piece top, which is fantastic. Its quieter inside the truck than a real hardtop samurai. I don't know who made it, though. The rear window is hinged upwards like a pickup truck cap.

On the two piece unit I have, the rear window mounts solidly to two tall brackets on the tailgate The whole two piece top is made of solid but uninsulated fiberglass and has very heavy, thick rubber gaskets where it mounts to the truck.
