What is the name of the part in front...

On the front of the zuk... body panel.

Looking for the name of the part that is at the front of the clip. The grille screws into it.

What is that thing, and where can I find one? I got me a purty rust-free tub from Rod's, but this was a little mashed up.

I have a parts sheet and if I am reading everything right there are 3 parts involved. One is the tie bar upper where the hood latch is, a lower tie bar and 2 brace, vertical. I am sure a dealer could get you the parts but I would throw an ad in the wanted section first. Let me know if you need part #s. Jim

Murph,
I just did a front end clip replacement. I have the top
cross piece (where the hood latch is) and the bottom part.
I put the best of both pieces on my Zuk, but the discards are not trashed. A little bondo and you're good to go.
They're yours for shipping only, if you want them.

Re: What is the name of the part in front...

Here is an interesting question:

I noticed the top piece that holds the hood latch has a layer of some sort of glue along with phillips head bolts holding it onto either side of the front clip.

Does one apply a suitable amount of heat at this joint to break loose the glue/bonding substance?

Ack
