Silly Jeepers

On my way to work today, every Jeep I passed waved!

Either..

They are being really friendly,

Now accepting Zuks as their superiors

Or can't tell the difference between a Zuk and a Jeep!

Re: Silly Jeepers

Every one that is lifted or wheeled around here waves... some of the stockers do too. But mostly I think it is because mine does not appear stock.

Re: Silly Jeepers

I got waves from THREE Samurais in the last week that magically popped out of the woodwork.

Two were lifted, One was driven by an elderly gentleman who was very happy with his!

Ocasionally, I'll get a wave out of Pre-90s Chevys, Ford and the occasional Dodge pickups. I think they have a better idea of what it takes to mod a truck for offroading...unlike the owners of late-model bling-blinged pickups.

EWWW!

Re: Silly Jeepers

Most Jeepers around here don't wave, they look the other way with that "I hope he didn't see me looking" expression...lol
Unless I'm in my FJ, then people just stare because they can't believe it's a Toyota!

I get that and a lot of waves from women in stock jeeps. I have to assume they don't know the difference. Guys in modified Jeeps do seem to wave and I assume they do know it is a samurai.

Re: Silly Jeepers

All the women wave at me, but then I'm so damn good looking they can't help themselves. I even have some men driving Saturns wave at me, go figure.

Re: Silly Jeepers

It's the camaradere (sp?) of off roaders, not the vehicle, radio type, or your underwear.
Off-roaders as opposed to "Street Jeeps," "street samys," "street 4x4's & SUV's."

If you think your type rig is superior to somebody elses type ya got another thing comin. There's always somebody with better, faster, more agile that will whip your butt.

Sometimes when I'm in my highly modified Tracker I get looked down on by other types.
Sometimes when I'm in my highly modified Rubicon Jeep I get looked down on.
And then when I'm in my also highly modified Chevy PU it happens.

I just laugh AT them. They are the ones with the inferiority problem, not me.

I think you missed some of the sarcasm of my comments.

I do understand camaraderie of off roaders, and there is a guy with Yota with a big Paragon sticker (local off road park) that waves to me all the time. The jeeps that waved were all newer, stock jeeps.

I will always think my zuk is superior. It's mine, it's paid for, and if I won 50 million in a lotto, I would still drive my Zuk!
