Arb & Calmini Bumpers

Hello All,

As some of you know, the Tonka Toy is getting a new body and major refurbishing.

It's time for real bumpers.

I've snooped around and decided that I want an ARB on the front, and the Calmini C2 in the rear.

Thing is, the C2 doesn't have an option for a reciever hitch and I need something to tow the half-zuk around

Anyone have any ideas/options for me? Should I just leave the plow hitch attached?

Also... Anyone got a used one of either of these for sale?

Murph

Re: Arb & Calmini Bumpers

I think I would stick with a tube front if I was going to use a tube rear or a plate front and rear

another option http://www.shrockworks.com/zukfrontbumper.htm

Re: Arb & Calmini Bumpers

Murph,
The ARB uses the stock turn indicators. I really like the
fact that it encloses the winch - much harder to steal and
it is somewhat protected from the rocks, etc.
As far as the C2 for the rear, is there room to cut a 2"
square and weld a receiver in there?
How's Peoria these days?

Hey Murph, I was looking at the pirate board and someone has an ARB front bumper they are looking to sell. I found this in the suzuki talk bbs. Try the link. Jeff http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=253378

Re: Arb & Calmini Bumpers

TTs got bumpers that use the stock turn signals too. Thats one of the reasons I got my front winch bumper from them.

Re: Arb & Calmini Bumpers

i have seen those nice looking high dollar ARB winch bumpers rip their mounts right off. the shrockworks winch bumper is more durable and has an excellent mounting system in my opinion.

Re: Arb & Calmini Bumpers

Wow,
Is that right? There are at least 5 ARBs on Zuks in my
club and I have never seen a problem. Of course, we're not
going to try to yank a Chevy K5 up to the body in mud
I have bent the mounting brackets on the tube frame a few times and have since beefed those up, but have never had
any component problems with the bumper itself.

Re: Arb & Calmini Bumpers

I've never seen it myself, but I did have one guy order one of mine who said it was a replacement for an ARB he ripped of his Zuk. He said he had the frame sleeves welded in and the bumper itself tore off.
