well just wanted to share a thought with the class. is it just me, or after a bad day, just a nice day of road driving in the sami with the top down will do the soul good, or is it just me.

out wonderin till ya get lost and then finding your way back home, even after the crapiest days this makes it all better.

thank you for listening

Re: just sharing thoughts

I agree completely!

Nothing is better than after a stressful day, driving with the top off, music cranked, trying to drown out the drone of your MT's!

Re: just sharing thoughts

Before yesterday, I would have fully agree.

Before I left for work, I checked the weather forcast. Low 80's, low humidity, and 0% chance of rain.

After a really bad day at work, I was looking forward to driving home topless and doorless. Since I work in a building with no windows, I had no idea that it was absolutely pouring outside. I drove home (40 minutes) in one of the worst thunderstorms this year.

My seats were soaked, and the bikini top I brought with me offered very little protection from the rain blowing in sideways.

So much for 0% chance of rain.

Re: just sharing thoughts

I never trust the weather in the spring. It comes and goes as it pleases. In the summer I start to trust more, and in the fall, but then in the winter I start to lay off with the trust thing, then when spring comes I have 0% trust.

Re: just sharing thoughts

LOL! That's so strange! The EXACT same thing happened to me yesterday!!!

And, my regular route was overly busy, so I had to take a longer route home! Interior was soaked, bikini did little on the freeway!

Didn't stress it, though. Better than the time it got egged with the top off!

Re: just sharing thoughts

I completely agree. That's why my other car is a Miata.

Re: just sharing thoughts

The rain shower thing happened to me and some friends as we were comming home from Ranger Ricks last year. Beautiful day on the trip up, had the top and doors off the Fj40. On the way home it was raining so hard the raind was hitting me in the RIGHT leg, and I was driving...lol Window wasn't getting wet hardly at all, but boy, we sure were! We ended up parking under a big tree and waited the rain out some before we continued home.
Still better than a good day at work though
