Grotesque Zuk Collectible

Well,

My daughter's Brownie troop had a tag sale a couple weekends back. I was digging through the stuff on the tables and found this frightening thing. It is clearly a Tracker (or Sidekick) but the strange thing is that it is a cassette player! You drop the tailgate to get to the controls and the "bed" lifts up to insert the cassette. I haven't tried the player to see if it works. I was thinking of taking the body off and sticking it on an R/C chassis. Its pretty large, at least 1/12 or maybe 1/10. It's hard plastic, but painted up and put on a dual motor 4wd chassis might save it from its scary lot in life.

Cool! Never seen a Tracker model, matchbox car, or anything like that. Where is the speaker mounted?

Re: Grotesque Zuk Collectible

Aside from the color it's pretty damn cool, I think !!
I wouldn't mind having something like that; throw a little lift on it, a locker in the back and some larger tires and you'd be set. Anyone remember years back, Chevrolet showed off a "factory prototype concept" Tracker with a 210hp 3.4L dohc V6? I imagine something like that would be pretty nice.

I agree with Sean and Jason, that thing is cool. I might try and put sidepipes on my Zuk. Ain't seen a set of them things in quite a while.

Re: Grotesque Zuk Collectible

speaker fires downward underneath the thing. It has (I noticed) 6 lug wheels and the spare is removable. The only things that are missing are the two braces for the rollbar (which is kinda skewed off to the side) and the mirrors.

All it says underneath the truck is " (c)ZIMA Made In China "

Maybe it was a Zima promotional item or something? It doesn't say Zima on it anyplace, though.

Re: Grotesque Zuk Collectible

That has the same stance as your trakick, maybe you can scare up some sidepipes and paint it like yours then you could put it on you hood like they do at car shows.....

Excellent Conversion!! That's just awesome.

now you just need a little bit of a paintjob to get rid of the pink. I think Malibu Barbie would be afraid to get in it
