wiring harness

would a wiring harness from a 91 tracker 1.6 8v work on my 95 1.6 8v?

my 95 tracker has the complete drivetrain and wiring harness from an 89 sidekick in it, so I am going to say yes. There isnt anything I can think of in the tracker that doesnt have a wire going to it and is supposed to, either.

ok just checkin cause im actually taking the motor outta my 95 tracker and putting it in my sammy. i need a harness for it and i found a 91 and wasnt sure if it would work.

In that case it will not work. The sensor configuration is different and some connectors are different. You will need the harness from the tracker you get the engine from, too. In Daxe's case, we swapped the entire drivetrain and harness from the '89 to the '95, that's why it worked.

ya thats what i figured. it sucks cause the tracker i bought needs an interior harness so i was trying to find one. guess ill have to find a 95 harness.

ok does it matter if it comes from a tracker with a 5 speed? the tracker i have is an auto but just the motor is coming out and bolting up to my sammy tranny.

No , that should be fine. The different wires won't be used, anyway.
