someone firmiliar with a weber

why do i have fuel coming out the vent line on the top?

what i really need i guess would be a break down of what everything is. fuel inlet, vent, vacum port, etc....

any help would be appreciated.

Re: someone firmiliar with a weber

Sounds like the float is mis-adjusted or sunk. Pull the top off and check it out.

Re: someone firmiliar with a weber

Fuel pressure has to be less than 3psi . Probably a stuck float valve or has some crap in it . If you need the float setting diagram , shoot me an email...

i tried the old holley trick. you know, hit it with the but of a screw driver. LOL!

i'm gonna pull it and see if the float is stuck tomorrow.

is this common if they sit with no gas in them for awhile?

Re: someone firmiliar with a weber

You can leave a lawn mower sit with no gas with no problems , a Weber however doesn't like it much ...

Re: someone firmiliar with a weber

Take the primary idle jet out and clean it . Try back flushing it's circuit through the hole , just don't lose the o-ring .....

Re: someone firmiliar with a weber

i did some hella searching after i posted this and read the same thing on an old post.

i did just exactly that and it got alittle better but still wouldn't idle.

i think it needs to be soaked for days to loosen up all the trash that is still in it.

now you will probly be hearing from nineinches about this carb since his buddy now owns it!!!

thanks for all your help sarge!

Re: someone firmiliar with a weber

I messed with it a little today and got it to stay running at 1500 rpm's. Any more ideas for me to try? I aint gonna mess with it much before I tell the other guy to find a used stock carb like mine or buy a new one. But I will try a few things first if you tell me what to do. Thanks in advance. Clint
