oil pressure gauge

I've got a 1988.5 sammi with the stock 1.3 in it and was wondering where a got place is to tie in the oil pressure gauge? Its the mechanical type.Thanks

Wolfie, look down and just above your oil filter. There is where your sender for the oil light is. and there is another gallery with a bolt in it beside the OEM sender.
Be very careful with a mechanical unit as the vibrations could fracture the oil line and seize your engine. Also the engine mount on that side of the motor is prone to breakage. So call Dave at AAPA and get an unbreakable mount. I have one and they're bomber.

The fitting next to the filter and the port used for the stock sender is 1/8"-28 BSP thread . There is an adapter available from some of the parts stores that will convert it to 1/8"-27 SAE pipe thread that most guages sold here use .
