Murphs gift to all the Zuki-Melters

To anyone who's ever braved a Zuki-Melt and set up camp near Murph's Portable Hilton... You can sleep well this coming year... Along with the rest to come!

That's right folks, I had the Snoring Surgery... Finally!
(Just for you, Bedford Boys!)

I had my tonsils taken out, my uvula snipped, and my nose reconstructed. (Years ago I got into a scuffle of sorts which involved my nose being tapdanced upon, never did heal right and for the last 10 years I've not been able to breathe through it.

So... the surgery was yesterday morning. Mom (of Yellow Trail Fame) drove down from Chicago and we're spending the week together, her being a retired nurse and all she's quite handy to have around.

As for the pain.. the vicodin is a good thing, particulary mashed up in some applesauce which goes down REAL smooth.

I can't talk yet, probably not until Friday, but I've managed to squeak out a whisper or two from time to time. Besides that and I'm just dying to blow my nose (can't blow, only allowed to dab at it with a kleenex.)

And boy let me tell you... that "Nurse Call" button is a handy thing with a cutie nurse like Lori. "Ding" "Hi Murph." (barely whispering) "Can I have some more jello/applesauce/kleenex/water/juice"

tee hee

Murph

Re: Murphs gift to all the Zuki-Melters

Murf, I surely can comiserate with you, I've had surgery on my throat twice! First time, tonsils, adenoids and uvula plus a reshaping at the back of my throat to make it U shaped instead of V shaped. I was mighty miserable for a couple weeks.

Four years later I had to have my throat reworked, some of the scar tissue had tightened up putiing my breathing in stress again.

So I feel your pain and I hope you will take it very easy for a while. Longer than you might care too because getting busy and active too soon just makes you hurt worse.

Get better!

Now, if you can go to AA and cure that "Up all night drinkin'" thing you might get some happy neighbors...

And here I thought you were talking about bringing even more new hotties with you again this summer.

Good luck on your recovery Murph. Sounds like once you're healed you'll be feeling better than you have in years.

Well Smitty... if I ever do get that sex change, you're first in line....

That is unless Brentley shaves his legs or somethin.
