few misc questions on my 8V EFI install

just a few stupid questions.
first, i can just run any manifold vaccuum line to my vaccuum advance correct?
next, my EFI parts are from a foreign country, and originally was missing most emisiions control devices.
no EGR, but i insatlled it on it. there is no purge vavle, so how do i do that? just leave it open?
also, i havent seen any other 8v 1.6''s with a a electric warm up plate between the TB and intake. is this common, or odd? black plate in this pic

any problem using my "petrol" injection in the US. i think my engine came from japan.....

and lastly,
i can't remmber where the line just to the left of the EGR went. its a coolant line correct? does it go to my last open spot on the end/top of the water pump.

i have been runnning a weber for a while ,and forget how it went.
Thanks
Zach

Re: few misc questions on my 8V EFI install

i figured out my last question, but styill puzzeled about the other two.
i hope it works right....
i hope you have abody lift on your zuk, as i had massive hood fitment issues. ow well.

my snorkel went very well. made it fit through the cowl great.
i couldnt run a airbox due to other hydraulic related stuff under the hood, plus i wanted the air intake high duye to the amounts of water that the ront end can go in sometimes. i didnt need it super high, but this will be high enough to save my engine..... now i just need to build a splash sheild for the filter.

Re: few misc questions on my 8V EFI install

It has been my experience that open element air filters and water do not mix. When the filter element gets splashed it causes the engine to misfire or stall.

Re: few misc questions on my 8V EFI install

still looking for answers about running no purge stuff what so ever, the warm up plate under the TB, and about the jap TB.
i fired it tonight.
it ran at 3K for afew minutes, and BELLOWED white smoke out the back for about 4 minutes, then it cleared up. then havd a surging idle, and then the idle was down to about 1,500 after it got warm. i am reading rich on the O2 sensor.(between .8-.9V, and the comp keeps on kicking it down suddenly)
i gavce up for th enight with it running good, apears to be rich, and very high idle.
anybody know th especs for the TPS sensor voltage output at idle, and then at WOT?
