winch mounting idea

i recieved a new winch for christmas from the wife.
had to figure a way to mount the bugger.

heres what i came up with, and i thought i'd share the idea

i had a samurai frame laying in the backyard, humm...
i cut off 10 inches from the front of the frame & angle cut it to match the front of my sami frame at a level position. next i welded & re-inforced the cut-off section to my main frame. a little welding & re-inforcement and i now have a nice winch mount attached.

just thought i'd throw the idea out there. it was a easy mod' givin a guy had a spare frame to cut up.

Re: winch mounting idea

i have a flat plate with a 1x1x1x1 running along the top inside rail, the bottom of the main & added frame are going to be recieving a 1 1/2 tube (stinger wrap bar) it will be very strong when finished. thanks for the comments. now i just need a land stake for when there are no attachment points near-by.
