Street Sammy Project....... long

Well, I would post pics but my computer for some odd reason won't allow me to load them so... you guys don't get any goodness until I figure what the deal is...

Here is my deal though, I bought an 87 Samurai ST with a bad motor among other things. I pulled the motor and put a good motor in along with new motor mounts a working alternator and an electric fan... SO, I'm good up to there. She'll be running tomorrow when I fill all the fluids hook up the rest of the wiring, hoses, etc...

Heres my Q if you're still reading; It has a 84 410 tcase in it which has to be pulled out since one of the arms is bent and no washers were used so it rattle around, SCARY. I am going to put a TT set in anyway, with newer bushings, but I am thinking to my self, "SELF, since you are putting 32's on this pile should you put in that shiny 6:1 case sitting on the floor that you haven't sold?"

The 410 case is a 12% reduction my case I believe is 18%, I need to check... Anyone have an opinion on which to use. It will be mainly used on the street and mild wheeling with the little bro and those occasional shortcuts we have around here.

I'll get some pics up... I am doing some cool things to it... tomorrow (Friday) I am tackling the heater box and ALL THE RUST! After it is running of course! Should be a fun and dirty day!

Daxe, if you read this... did that red trackick have a license plat light-up-thingy...? I am wanting one. If I remember the mounts were all rusted and thats exactly what I need.. let me know!

Thanks in advance everyone. Brent

If you can afford to not try to still sell it and put it in, put it in. I had the 6:1(before I sold it for hockey equipment) with my 31's and the 1 trip I made(compared to my everyday use of my hockey equipment) it made it so easy to do everything. Too bad I wasnt able to get ahold of ya before ya went to the junk yard, you woulda saw how nice it was with them lil tires.

Since you are going to be using the 6:1 t case, I need the 410 t case.

Well, I listened to Doug and since I hadn't sold the case, I popped it in... man it is awesome! Just drove it a little in the snow. The thing is definately what I want. With the 32's it is perfect, seems to have good pick up... I need to drive it more...

Now I need to conquer the rust!
