someone answer this question please

Ok I got a dilemma, it seems the 1989 ZF tranny I got is a 2wd one, well I want to make it 4wd in order to use advanced adapters to run a D300 transfer case, I have asked on 2 ford forums and waitted forever, to see if I could slap a 4wd rear housing on it, if so, I understand a different rear output shaft would be needed, but the kit comes with a new one in order to adapt the transfer case. So I'm proposing I get a 4wd rear housing and the D300 kit, put the rear output shaft that comes with the kit on, then slap the rear housing on, Can this be done?

Re: someone answer this question please

Not the answer you want but I did what you are talking about to a Turb 350 . Call advance adapetrs or Novak tommorow and ask them . Thats where I got the info I needed when I was using a 2wd tranny and a dana 300. Or you could use the OTT divorsed 300 setup , though I doubt you would have any rear driveshaft left at that point . BTW do you need a good 300 ? Good luck StudlyBil
