Calculating Tire Tread Left

I was just wondering how to calculate the amount of tire tread left if you are given the number. For instance if a tire has a tire depth of 21/32 brand new what is the % of tire left at 6/32 left. I would calculate that at 7/32 it would be %33. Am I on the right path?

Thanks

Re: Calculating Tire Tread Left

Yep, as long as the denominator is the same, you can just use the numerators as whole numbers and
divide it out.
