Headlights won\'t work and idea for family cage

Since I finished installing my EFI wiring, I can't get my headlights, or any other light to work. The donor was a Canadian Sammie with the DRL option. I have the wiring for the DRL in the harness, but not the DRL relay or whatever it is supposed to plug into. Do I need a relay to make it work? I'm guessing I do, there at least a dozen wires that end in the connection with no relay to plug into. Does anyone know which wires to connect so I can run without the relay? I dont want to have to remove the harness, again , to follow the wires and remove the DRL wires.

On an unrelated topic, I have an idea that I would like to get some feedback on. I have two boys, eight and ten, that love sitting in the back of the Sammie as much as possible!! I want to get a family cage for them and I think I figured out a cheap way to do it. I'm planning on getting a second stock roll bar, square off the ends, add a few inches in height and mount it as far back as possible. It seems like I can remove the piece of sheet metal around the gas filler neck and still have enough room to bolt it to the tub. I would trim the sheet metal to fit and re install when I was done. Now I can run a few top spreaders across the top, grind off the wimpy diagonal brace mounts and put in a diagonal brace from the top of the front bar, back to the bottom of the rear bar. I'm also planning on putting in some shoulder harnesses for them as well. What do you guys think? 2" main hoops, 1.5 " spreaders and no bending needed. The only costs would be a used main hoop and 20' of 1.5" tubing.

Thanks for an other suggestions.

You are going to have to have the relay unless you want to rewire it.

That has been done, probably several times. one i saw pics of they plated across the corners of the tub
and mounted to that plate. then added down to near the body mount bolts which gets you about as much
strength as your going to get in a tub mounted cage.

Doable project.
