Tie rod ends

I have discovered a bad tierod end on the passenger side. No sideways slop, but it will move up and down. Finally found my death wobble cause.
Q. It doesn't appear to be a replaceable item. What is the recommended (BBS) way to deal with these lil buggers?
A.

Re: Tie rod ends

What kind of suspension setup are you running? A cross over steering setup is the tits for SPOA.

Re: Tie rod ends

Just replace the tie rod with a good one. New rods are expensive unless its the screw in end.

What does the drag link look like?

Are you running a drop pitman? I'm assuming you have some lift. bump steer sucks.

Re: Tie rod ends

That's about US$250.00 at current rates. But the way Iraq has affected your $ then monopoly money might be worth more soon.

Re: Tie rod ends

Where does the Suzuki stealership get off $398.66 ???? I had a simular experiance the other week where I phoned for a dizzy cap for my 16V, Suzuki said $85 I said thanks and hung up. Then rang Repco $17 if I could wait over night for it, No problem with that sort of saving ! We just got a Super Cheap store that opened here on Saturday be interesting to see if things get cheaper ?

Cheers
Shane

No I don't think so, we'll just have to invade....oops...I mean... help another struggling third world nation defeat a sadistic dictatorship and fill them up with McDonalds, Coca Cola, CD players and Levi jeans...then rape their natraul resources and reap hugh profits to build a bigger better war machine It's the American way.
