..If I have a rear main leak? Yes, I changed the disty o-ring, no leak there anymore, replaced the PCV vavle too.
The oil is dripping from the passenger side of the transmission, not exactly sure how to describe the spot where its leaking from, but close to the front of the tranny.
Does that sound like a rear main leak to you?
Is a rear main easy to change?
I don't want to sound like an a$$ here but did you wipe everything off and make sure thats where it is coming from ?
like oil pan and stuff like that ( just asking ??)
There is another O ring on the disty shaft. Clean there and around the valve cover. If its the rear main it
would be leaking out of the flywheel cover or those bottom bell housing vents.
I run synthetic gear oil in the transmission. The tranny leaks out of the seals that seal the upper and lower halves of the transmission case. Smell the oil, is it motor oil or gear oil?
