Re: More Trax Zukes

That Sammy is in Wasilla Alaska.
It belongs to Erik--AKA DeepMud.
I helped him put those tracks on two winters ago--We didn't have enough snow around here to run them------Until now---
Just got almost three feet in the past two weeks.
I'll call him and find out how they work for him .

Re: More Trax Zukes

Dale, you home now? Give me a call!

I haven't had time to mount up the track .... and all this snow finally!
Been working on the house - Funny how much my wife thinks getting the heat finished is the #1 priority!

Next week I get stuck going to Florida for training, so no tracks on until at LEAST mid-December.
Erik

P.S. both the side kick and the Zuk have the exact same set of tracks - I bought them off of the home-builder in Maine.

Lots more can be found if you wanted to search the POR

Re: More Trax Zukes

Are the tracks made by "mattrax"? Could you get some close up pics of the tracks for me? I have wanted a set since i first found out about them but the price is way out of my budget. I haven't got to see any in person, thats the reason for the pic request.
TIA

Re: More Trax Zukes

There are a few guys around here with them on Blazers and other 4x4ís for grooming trails. I also know a lot of guys running them on quads, but they are limited to about 20 mph. They will climb straight up though, and the deep snow they go through is awesome. The last I heard it was about $2,500 for a set (of 4 I think, but that was on a Quad, not sure of a larger 4x4.

Here is one of an old Jeep being tested with a set, about 40 or 50 years ago. Gives me some ideas of what to do with the chain link fence!
