Looking for good battery charger

I'm looking for a good battery charger for my Tracker that's reasonably priced. I'm looking for the kind that is portable, not the ones you mount under the hood. Here are some of ones I've seen people recommend online:

DElTran Smart Battery Charger

BatteryTender Plus

Century Model #87151

Of the three listed above, the BatteryTender Plus was recommended most often. But I believe it's the kind that mounts under the hood (correct me if I'm wrong). Whatever kind I get should have a slow or trickle charge setting where the charger only delivers 1 to 2 amps. In my experience, trying to charge a battery too fast can damage it.

Anyone have any comments or additional suggestions?

Re: Looking for good battery charger

Unless you are storing the truck , no charger should be needed . If it is stored , simply remove the cables while it's sitting to remove any parasitic drains . Most batteries will stay charged enough to start the vehicle even after sitting for a month . It's best to start the engine at least once a week anyway , allowing it to sit only ruins it .
