Interesting weber problem - Sarge??

Well, I finally got around to putting a vent tube in my weber to stop the flooding going downhill.

The only problem is it didn't stop the flooding at all.

I've just finished a bit of experimentation to find out why. I found a bit of a bank (about 30 degrees) and parked on it with the bonnet up and air cleaner off.
At this angle, with the motor running it was running very rich, and was about to stall.

Looking down the carb, there was no fuel coming out the breather, it was actually dribbling out the bottom of the venturi on the secondary side!

I guess the venturi outlet must be lower than the fuel level in the float bowl, so it flows downhill and out the venturi?
My floats are adjusted to Sarge's reccomendations though

Has anyone ever seen this before and know how to fix it?

Re: Interesting weber problem - Sarge??

There are a few things that cause this , either the float is getting hung up on angles or the valve isn't closing off the fuel pressure . Also, fuel pressure should be around 2psi , 3 at the most ....
