Eliminate Overload Leaf w/ Anti Wrap Bar

I am running front CJ leaf springs SPOA in the rear - when I add my antiwrap bar should I eliminate the Samurai overload spring?

TIA

Re: Eliminate Overload Leaf w/ Anti Wrap Bar

I know stock sammy rear springs turn into a cluster f*ck when those overloads are taken off, at least in SPOA form, no idea on CJ's but dont see why it would be any different...

Re: Eliminate Overload Leaf w/ Anti Wrap Bar

How many leaves do you have in your packs? Don't rekon it'd hurt none to leave it in there. I've run 5 leaf packs (on 7"spoa perches) w/ no wrap bar for a while now w/ no problems.

I do ride with a guy that has 35s on stock axles w/ 5.83 gears. He's bent like 3 sets of springs.

My friend Chris has installed a Spidertrax anti-wrap bar on his zuk. He runs stock rear springs w/ overload & revolver shackles. Till he installed the wrap bar, he bent 3 sets of springs. He's rode on the last set of springs since the install w/ no problems.

Re: Eliminate Overload Leaf w/ Anti Wrap Bar

Yes,give it a try.A traction bar actually wraps the springs
slightly itself as the suspension goes through it's range
of travel,so you don't want the "overload" spring to fight it.
After adding a traction bar to my rig I was able to use a much
softer set of springs and so far they haven't sagged.
