I may have got ripped...

Bought an 87 Sammy yesterday, it was on Ebay and the owner advertized it as having the 4:1 tranfer case reduction kit (calmini i think) I was pulling the t-case today and in the process of selling it ( I like the stock gearing for mudding with 29" tires, no rock crawling here) I SHOULD BE ABLE to test the case this way shouldnt I ?
T_case in 4 wheel low, the input from the transmission should turn 4 times for every 1 time the front and rear driveshaft flanges rotate 4:1 right? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, you are correct. I just went through this recently putting in new t-case gears.

Put the t-case in 2 or 4 low. Mark a spot on the input companion flange and the rear output companion flange with a marker. Spin the input flange 4 times. The output flange should turn have turned only once.
