88.5 dash????

i just picked up an 88.5 sami and wanted to know if i can put the 88.5 dash in my 88 sami
will it just unplug and plug into my 88 or will i have to change all the connectors
any help out there

im almost positive it will all plug in. i know almost everything is the same part number as far as wiper motor and heater motor and the electronics so i dont think youll have a problem.

I too say it wil work,...so long as you swap it ALL in ie. speedo cluster, glove box, etc.

You will have to swap out the black bar that goes from driver's side to Passenger's side. The "oh [bleep]" handle on the 88.5 is mounted differently than it is on the pre 88.5. The 87 radio plate (which is also a mounting point for the bar) is also different. The wiring should all be the same though I'm not 100% sure. The heater controls are the same and will cross over fine. I've done an 88.5 to an 87 dash recently. I'ts no impossible but it is a PITA. give youself a good day to make this swap

The cluster plug is different. You move (I think) 5 wires over 1 pin. Just llok at the 2 plugs and line them up, really easy.
