"The skin, muscle and tissue in his left calf, from the knee to the ankle, was torn from his leg bones, which were completely exposed but not broken."

Re: O/T - Guy pinned under jeep - free\'s himself

I second iicharter, what was this guy thinking? Wheeling alone? Numb nuts. I would be willing to bet he was starting to go over and he put his leg out to try and push his 4000lbs heep so it wouldnt roll. Wont do that again will he? Anyone wanna bet?

Second, why didnt he have a CB in his rig? And where the hell was his jack that he reached it and jacked it up from the roll bar?

Seems wierd to me. Im glad he's ok, but this guy is giving ORV's a bad press, and ORV parks a bad press.

Anyone else thoughts?

I gotta agree with rockrat .... seat belts are a good thing . I have been considering going with a old school lapbelt to give me a better range of mobility . Anyone else done that ? I hate how the shoulder locks up sometimes .

with my 5 points you can pick your poison. Both shoulders, lap, crotch, or all of them. I will say, with all 5 latched you better have a spotter cause you arent goin anywhere.

I was expecting to read about this guy gnawing his leg off or something. This article is just another poor example of our news media just scrounging for something they think is interesting... BFD, he fell over and got his leg pinned under his truck. This is not National news...

Climber Aron Ralston of Aspen, Colorado, was hiking alone in southeastern Utah on April 26 when his right arm became pinned beneath an 800-pound boulder. He freed himself on the fifth day by snapping his bones and using a knife to cut through his arm.

Re: O/T - Guy pinned under jeep - free\'s himself

I was wheeling the other day with a fellow zook driver who had a near roll and put his arm out the window to try stop it ! what was he thinking ????? Don't most people hang on to the wheel and keep body parts inside the car or is that just a few of us ? Accidents happen but stupidity is what is closing alot of places for us to wheel cause no body wants some one injured on there property. Ahhhhhhhhh life's not easy
