Re: rear transmission mount

With the unique shape of the stock 5 speed tranny mount I recommend just buying a stock mount and building/modifying a cross member to accept it.
I donít have a clue how an SJ 410 is setup. But it seems pretty easy to make or modify a cross member to allow the location of the tranny mount. If you havenít swapped one in yet, I recommend that you do the cross member and mount last. I have tried to make mounts to get rid of the stock mount because I broke one. None worked, so now Iím back to the stock samurai mount.

Re: rear transmission mount

I thought someone on this board was testing one for one of the board members/venders. If so, there was a post on the subject in the last couple of weeks.

Re: rear transmission mount

Gary, The mount your speaking of is for a Samurai to a Samurai. This guy needs one to fit his SJ410 Suzuki 1982-85 model. I would make the same suggestion that Silver Zuk has made. I've had a 410 and everything is tiny on them, but they are cool and have a neat dash.

Re: rear transmission mount

My 85 Supper Sami has the same dash as the 86 Sami.
It also has the five speed (not the 4 spd).
Was it just the supper sami that got the five speed & 1300?

Re: rear transmission mount

Is this what you are talking about and yes i am the one making them but its just a new x-member to get rid of the stock so no more banging front driveshafts. This may work for you if you shorten the overall length to fit your narrower frame width
