Harbour freight winch came in! Pix :D

Ahh, about 100 pounds shipped for 5.95, good deal
Anywhoo, looks REAL HOSS! The cable is thicker'n'hell! The universal winch mounting system will have to go, I'm opting to mount the winch via a 2" receiver (don't know how I'm/who is going to make one though) so I can winch forwards or backwards. Yes, this is a heavy winch! Hahaha, my little warn 2500u weighs like 40 lbs.

The main power wires look cheapo, if they heat up, I'll replace them. The remote is a 2 piece rubber block with 2 large button switches, looks rugged. The supplied hook looks cheap, grade 8.8 metric bolts are included, a solenoid box mount is included (if you choose not to use the hoss chunk of steel), and some basic instructions.

Here you go.

Hey what brand of bumper is that ? and is the winch mounted to only the 4 factory 8mm bolts ? I'm just making a new bumper for mine to take a winch as well and was wondering what yours mounts to.
TIA
Shane

Re: Harbour freight winch came in! Pix :D

They are noisy on power in compared to other name winches.
No way to tell if yours is any worse. (everyone I heard on power in sounds like a bucket of rocks...) But they seem to work.
what did you expect? a Warn or Ramsey quality winch for 300?
(not the ramsey 8000E either)

Run it out and rewind the cable on the drum under load and make sure it works okay.
