Factory side stripes for Sami ?

Anyone know if the factory style stripes that go down the sides of the sami are still available from anywhere ? I need the black and white stripes to go on my freshly painted silver 86 sami.

If your Sami is a silver '86 then it came with White/DK Charcoal stripe kit, part # 99961-90411. If you have more than one local dealer, check them all for prices. Around here prices vary a lot for dealer to dealer.

Hey OKIE! Where did you get this excellent info? I am just curious about the wide variety of stripes I see on different samis. Were there lots of different factory designs and/or lots of third party designs?

And besides that..how come the dang duplicolor touch up reference book that hangs at store displays doesnt even list suzuki? Grrr....

Re: Factory side stripes for Sami ?

daxe, I have nearly all the Suzuki manuals and parts catalogs. This is from a 1986-1988 Samurai Parts Catalog. It list all the stripes for 1986 Samurai JX, 1986 Samurai Special Edition, 1987 Samurai JX, 1987 Samurai Special Edition and 1988 Samurai JX. I going to bed now ( jury duty tomorrow ).

Re: Factory side stripes for Sami ?

Thanks guys. Wow, almost $180 bucks for stickers. I think I might look into something after market to put down the sides instead of going with the factory stripes.

OKIEZUK, your right, they are white and dark charcoal.

Try scratches. They add character & let people know you use your vehicle. If not, you should be able to find some Roy G. Biv stickers around and slap those on.

Brad.

Re: Factory side stripes for Sami ?

I may end up doing that before long. I don't have a spray gun so I cans of automotive spray paint and the finish didn't turn out slick due to the overspray caused by only being able to cover such a small path for each pass of the can. It looks okay but did not turn out the way I was hoping it would.
