OT - One man\'s trash....

I was driving through town today and stopped at a pile of trash that looked promising. In it I found a Bowman, 1952, Willie Mays baseball card - price range: $75.00 to $1200.00, a McCoy vase with a book value of $150.00 and a LOT of vintage GI Joe stuff.

Then I went ot the local Salvation Army and bought an authentic Shaker rocking chair (signed) that should fetch around $500.00 at auction!

I LOVE trash pickin'!

Re: OT - One man\'s trash....

Most everything in my house/barn/Zuk/Jeep was from a junkyard, free, very cheap, or being thrown out. Last week I scored about 120 of 6 Ga wire, and 100 of 4 Ga wire, so I rewired mxnhids 220 welder (it had 16 Ga supplying it!), and wired his house for 220 power, so now he can use it.

I picked up a one year old full face auto darkening welding helmet for $25, I took it to the local shop and it was over $300 new, and still under warranty. I got a pneumatic tire changer, like the garages use, with bubble balancer, for $120. Traded an old Jeep transfer case for a gas driven air compressor. And the list could go on for ages.

I am a pack rat, have a TON of space, and can find uses for just about anything, on top of having good luck.
