Your call... is it worth it?

I found a 94 Tracker 4x4 with a snow plow (don't laugh). The guy wants $1500.00 for everything. here's the rundown on the truck:

2 dr, vert
1.6-16V motor
automatic
138K but motor runs out good
AC
couple of dents along the front, busted grill, smashed hood but he has the parts to repair.

The plow is not hydraulic side to side (manual) but it does have a cable and button that makes it go up and down.

I've NEVER plowed snow before so I know little about how to. I thought it sounded like a good price and could definately pay for istelf this winter.

What's your ideas?

Buy it! You can make more than you pay for it plowing gas stations and convinence store lots. And you get a decent stock rig for a DD.

I'd say go, too. The 16V motor is worth a bit if you wanna pull it out and sell it or use it for a sami swap.

as to the snow plow, it may be a doutful investment down there, but the farther north ya get the more valuable it becomes. You could even YANK the snowplow setup off it and sell it to a YANK for a few bucks to recoup some of your investment and have a nice little trucck to DD.

Re: Your call... is it worth it?

I plowed with my tracker stock last year with an automatic and it was great. (this with 10"+ storms several times)
Add an aux trans cooler and have fun.
Not sure What I am doing this year for plowing, likly rebuilding the plow frame for the taller tracker..
