YEA! I got rid of my Swampers!

I traded 4 relatively new 33x12.5x15 Swamper TSLs for 5 relatively new - 32x11.5x15 BFG MTs! Anyone who's thinking 33s would be cool on a Zuk, think again! Unless you have LOTS of lift or your wheel wells are cut out they're just too damn big!

I think you'll be much happier with the 32's.

My BFG MT's seem to work well on my heavy a$$ FJ40. You'll really like them on your sami.

Re: YEA! I got rid of my Swampers!

Here is what I know about 33 inch tires on a sammi. Yes they will fit with a SPOA and some longer shackles. The thing is though they fit, they don't fit well. To truly fit a 33 in there you need to move the axle forward a minimum of 1.5 inches. This helps out substantially and allows the tire to turn better and not hit the rear of the fender well. Also the less back spacing that you have causes problems too. It causes the tires to move more to the rear when turning resulting in more rubbing. I think the best way to fit a 33 is to either use YJ springs with a spoa or rear sammi springs up front. Both move the axle forward and provide just enough lift to get those pesky 33's in there.

But I have to agree, 32's work better and work just as well. Heck, they are cheaper too!! But my next rig will have 35's or 36's

Just my 2 cents

I think I'll be VERY happy with these tires. The Swampers are nice but they are too damn heavy. I've lost gas mileage and top end from them.

Re: YEA! I got rid of my Swampers!

I've got to drive this til I get another car - I can't get another car til I sell off my Zuk stuff to get the money. It'll probably be another month or so before I get something to replace the Sami...unless someone can offer me a fair trade for my Zuk?

Re: YEA! I got rid of my Swampers!

i currently run 33 x 12.5 ground hawggs i would like to go to 32 or 31 for mpg mostly prob. stay on the 32 side

i have a 3" body lift and about 3" back space on rims, spoa

before i did the body lift it was awful evey bump it was a scrap a full turn you scrap always the rear of the fender
and the bozo before me cut part of the fender and it still hit the tires
the first is with the rears up front and second is stock spoa
