Zookin 2k3 video (what to do with it)

OK you all know I have the origonal. I need to figure out what to do with it. All I have at this point is my digital palmcorder & a cheapo VCR. I made a couple copies on VHS from the origonal but there are some problems 1. It takes FOR EVER becasue there is a lot of footage & a lot of editing needs to be done (Max your a potty mouth! LOL). So to make like 20 copies like this would take an eternity.
What I'd like to do is find a local place that can edit the film (and maybe Zookin2k1) add some music & captions to it maybe & put it on DVDs. Then I can just toss the DVDs in cushined envelopes & mail them out to you all. So the bad part is I'm not gonna foot the bill for this becasue for one I don't have the extra money & also I ALREADY HAVE MY COPY! So before I go to find out how much it's gonna cost how many poeple would be interested & how much would you pay for a professionally made DVD of Zookin?
Oh yeah other option (if this costs too much) is to fund me to get the path cable to go from my camera to my computer & some film making software but I don't have a DVD burner on my computer oh wait will a CD burner make DVDs?

Pm Ack of Zookimelt fame . Wehn I decided to start playing with video editing he pointed me in the right direction . I use a fire wire cable and dazzle to play with the editing . I am still learning as we speak .
Having someone else edit it would be expensive though . The old 2 vcr method isnt awful . Once you edit the first one all you have to do is pop them in and let them tape . Slow , but it works . Good luck .

Bill, do you have a firewire port on your computer? (IEEE 1394) Thats probably what you need to hook your digital camcorder up to your computer. I might have a spare one around here or I could send you one with your Zookin 2K1 VHS. They arent expensive.

If you have windows XP, then you already have video editing sofftware, its called "windows movie maker". Its not exactly Adobe PRemiere, but it does work and its real easy to use.

a cd writer doesnt burn DVDs. You need a DVD writer for that.

lemme know what kinda cable you need to hook up your camcorder and maybe I can help you out.

Bill,

I'd be interested in a video either on VHS or a CD, I would send you some $ to help cover costs if needed.

Bill, I would be interested in either format. I can copy VCR to VCR if you have a good clean copy. I have 2 decent VCRs. Jim

Re: Zookin 2k3 video (what to do with it)

A cd burner will not burn DVD"S but you can burn VCD with it that will play in a DVD player though you will only fit about 20-25 min of Good quality video on it. Personally I wouldn't suggest as the quality will be a lil below a VHS. BTW ever thought about just releasing it on a cd as an mpg or avi......though that could open it up to widespread copying though a dvd is just as easy to copy (though I think the Zuk community has more respect than that)....then again a vhs isn't to much harder to dub off with the right video card in your computer. BTW I hope zookin 2k3 video does have an uncensored version as I see ya was say'n someone had a mouth on em. personally I have no problem with cuss'n and I can see why some people like to have stuff censored but I feel that censoring actually works in reverse as I (maybe i'm just an oddball) always seem to Subconsciously try to figure out what was said. That beep or what ever just kind of rolls around in my nugget tell the right 4 letter words roll into place. Guess I'm getting a little off topic now so I'll stop while i'm ahead. Sorry just my rambles

Well, I don't know a whole lot about computers I guess. Mine is a year old Dell, not the best they had but not the smallest either. My video camera has plug port that says D/vid to comp. When I bougth the palmcorder it came with a bunch of literature. One thing that came with it was an order form for parts ie. bigger batteries, & the kit to download which looked like a cable & a small floppy disk. Now I can't find that stuff or anything on thier website

Re: Zookin 2k3 video (what to do with it)

what brand and model is your cam Bill? There are lots of options for getting video into your computer. If its only a year old you have Windows XP. Poke around in your start menu and you will probably find "Windows Movie Maker". If you can't find it, then click on "run" on your start menu and type:

MOVIEMK

in the box, then hit enter.

We'll get that vid captured for ya, don't worry.

When you are playing a video for a little kid it works great. They don't walk away from the video repeating all the bad words.

I don't really have a "problem" with swearing either, but try using any other word every 10 words during what you are saying and you'll see how stupid it really sounds.

example:

How the banana are you supposed to banana get up the banana hill without banana locking your banana hubs, you stupid banana moron?
