broken stuff

Tryin' to get my stuff fixed for tellico. It's been a rough few days. Had to tear both axles all the way down & reassemble. Put ANOTHER t-case in. Fix one shock mount in the front & get a new shock for the rear. Then finished it off by installing a water pump.

Here's a few pics. of the broken stuff.

Re: broken stuff

Here's a close-up of the spider gear that came out of the front. Also broke one shaft at the splines in front.

Re: broken stuff

From the looks of that side gear, you do not have a locker installed. Welded, spool, or open. Seems the locker units could not destroy a sidegear like that.

1.2.3 LOCKRITE
1.2.3.4 BILL FORREST bucket!

That's my 2 bits

Re: broken stuff

Yeah, that's what went **pow** at the top of the hill I was climbing.

I've already got another welded 3rd installed. I know you're a locker guy, but personally, I'll never put one in. It's either welded or open for me. All I have to do is swap out another side gear for that one & I gots another backup.

Can't do the "bucket" either. I'm trying to sell my RRO mounts. Got cool plans fixin' to happen in the t-case department.

I broke all that stuff trying to bend/break RockRat's tranny mount. Tranny mount is still in A1 condition.
