Anyone recommend a timing light?

Been looking at timing lights, anyone have an opinion (yeah right!) about a brand or model? The FSM says use inductive type (?) Not looking for the cheapest but don't need a high dollar unit either...the zuke is the only thing it'll be used on.

thanks as always!

Re: Anyone recommend a timing light?

I bought mine at an auto parts store. (Napa or CarQuest????) I got it about 4 or 5 years ago. It still works, so I guess it a good one. I gave about $45 for it. It has +/- leads & the one that hooks to the spark plug wire (inductive).

I used to work at a garage & they had a Snap-On. Gave like $160-170 for it. Same thing. Everything they had was Snap-On, so I guess it only figures.....

I don't really know a bunch about them 'cept they both worked every time I used them. I don't figure you'd go wrong by saving money though. I've still got the $45 one in the garage, it still works & I'll use it till it stops.
